1962 Rare Kurt Ostervig Lounge Chair for Henry Rolschau Mobler of Vejen Denmark

Listed for sale is an exceptionally rare lounge chair, designed by architect Kurt Ostervig and produced by Henry Rolschau Mobler in Vejen, Denmark, circa 1962. The chair arrived to our shop in rough condition with old upholstery, needing restoration. The chair was then taken to Forthright NYC now P. For new upholstery and foam, which was masterfully done with great care to the original form. This chair represents an expressive and sculptural form from Ostervig in tandem with a metal base, something that is a bit unusual given Ostervig's more typical wooden legged chairs.
